THE ORAL CIGARETTES "DUNK feat.Masato (coldrain)" Music Video
What Is Real Rock Music?
In a certain future, the media has become corrupt, music has been swallowed by commercialism, and the spirit of rock is beginning to fade. There are still men who have found meaning in life through music. But the world around them has changed. Rock has become something to be consumed as a trend, and music itself is being cheapened. Dressed in black, they gather with their friends in abandoned corners of the city, continuing to play and sing. Their music carries cries that border on pain, along with sorrow, hope, and an unbreakable spirit. Meanwhile, the mainstreaming of rock shows no sign of slowing down. It is an age in which the media proclaims that “anyone who releases a song is an artist.” This is their answer to that era—an act of defiance, expressed through what they believe to be real rock.
Scene 1 | Natural & Cool
A band performance scene using natural light and simple lighting. The focus is on the members’ expressions and close-ups of their hands while playing, highlighting each person’s visual presence and individuality.
Scene 2 | Destruction & Rebirth
An intense band performance set against dark, high-contrast lighting. In contrast to Scene 1, this section emphasizes the energy of the performance through light, movement, and physical intensity, creating a raw and visceral sense of cool.
Scene 3 | Cynical
The two masked vocalists appear as guests on a daytime talk show. Growing increasingly bored with the dull interview, they eventually break loose and start performing wildly in the studio. The scene carries a cynical edge, reflecting a sense of irony toward the media and the commercialization of music.
